Why Student Loans waiving off is a big deal in the USA?

Worldwide at Top Universities or let's say for an example, USA, the cost of education is in one word, ridiculous.

Universities are not exactly companies yet they have the same system of charging students more and more as their goals. Meanwhile, providing education at affordable costs if not free like Germany isn't even a thought.

For Masters, several universities charge as high as nearly US$2000 per credit in a 30+ credit degree bringing it to a medium-minimum* $60000 amount for just tuitions. Then we have extra fees in the name of library, equipments, gym, WiFi, books, maintenance or deposit, semester service fees to be paid to university necessarily, facility use fees and what not.

Do not forget about living expenses, rent/accommodation, food, travel or necessities etc. which takes it to above $100k (for $60k used as an example).

Meanwhile in many universities it can go higher than $150k with no issues. Students can choose not to study as an option but fees reduction isn't one.

To show more of charity and support to diversity, universities offer a handful of Scholarships to students who excel the most in their careers/studies. This is not only an example of a cat acting vegan after eating a colony of rats but leads to brain drain in many countries.

One of the most surprising thing is that a Masters may only require $10000 for the whole degree even in the USA inclusive of all the charges.

There should be a maximum per credit policy which according to me should be at maximum $100 for a 30 credit degree.

That is the ethical way of doing business.

The system is not benefitting students and thus, student loans in hundreds of billions of dollars which are absolutely unnecessary.
